PROJECTS
The Victoria C. Wacek Memorial NFP recognizes that the Covid-19 pandemic has created significant challenges for educators around the world, especially for those in remote areas like Aloran where online learning is not a viable option. The majority of students at St. Matthew's High School do not have internet access at home nor do they own computers; therefore, implementing a successful Distance Learning program is not an easy task and it requires a high level of commitment from the St. Matthew's High School faculty, the students, and their parents.
With schools throughout the Philippines prohibited from conducting in-person classes until further notice, distance learning modules have been developed to enable the students at St. Matthew's High School to continue their education under these difficult circumstances. Every Monday, the students or their parents will go to the school to pick up the modules for the week. Every Friday, they will return to the school to drop off the week's assignments. Teachers will be available to students by phone and text to answer any questions and offer guidance as needed.
To defray the total cost of the modules and allow every student to receive the modules free of charge, the Memorial is genuinely pleased to present St. Matthew’s High School with a donation in the amount of PHP 382,650. On behalf of the Victoria C. Wacek Memorial NFP, we would like to thank all of the donors who have made this possible, and we extend our warmest wishes to St. Matthew's High School for a safe and productive school year!
